Special Olympics Southern California - San Diego County Region (SOSD) is proud to be the exclusive charity partner for the 20th annual La Jolla Summer White Party for 2016.

About Special Olympics Southern California

The mission of Special Olympics Southern California is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

As the largest sports organization in the world for individuals with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympics strives to provide opportunities where everyone, regardless of ability, is included and accepted. SOSD currently serves 2,500 athletes annually, and has been steadily increasing its reach each year. SOSD's Community Program provides individuals over the age of 8 the opportunity to compete in 11 different Olympic-style sports. Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Our athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment -- on the playing field and in life.

The La Jolla Summer White Party was pleased to raise an amount that exceeded our expectations for the last year’s event. Our goal for this year is to exceed even that amount. This will be accomplished through affiliated activities, including a live auction and greater sponsor/donor support of the event to lower the overhead/increase the proceeds. If you have suggestions or contacts for either the auction or for event sponsors please contact us at LJSummerWhiteParty@Hotmail.com

Thank you for helping the La Jolla Summer White Party provide a meaningful benefit to our community.

Sincerely,
Dan Courtney and The LJSWP Host Committee
